Hush analyzes notification patterns to help you manage your attention. On Android, with your explicit permission, we access notification metadata including:

  • Interaction patterns (opened, dismissed)

Important: All notification analysis happens locally on your device. We do not read, store, or transmit the content of your messages or notifications to any external servers.

2.2 Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our app, including:

  • App feature usage patterns
  • Crash reports and error logs
  • Device type and operating system version

2.3 Purchase Information

If you subscribe to Hush Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status, not your payment details.

We use the collected information to:

  • Analyze notification patterns and provide attention alerts
  • Generate weekly summaries and statistics
  • Improve app functionality and user experience
  • Provide customer support
  • Process and manage subscriptions

4. Data Storage and Security

All notification data and analysis results are stored locally on your device using secure local storage. Your data is never uploaded to external servers unless you explicitly choose to export it.

4.1 Data Retention

We retain only the data necessary for app functionality. Local notification data is stored on your device for a maximum of 90 days, after which it is automatically deleted. Usage statistics and analytics data are retained for 12 months in aggregated, anonymous form.

4.2 Security Measures

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

  • Local storage using platform-standard secure APIs
  • Regular app updates and security patches
  • No data transmission to external servers without explicit consent
  • Device-level security protections (screen lock, biometrics)

We will respond to data access requests within 30 days and provide the requested information in a commonly used electronic format.

Hush is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your data is processed and stored locally on your device. We do not transfer personal data outside of your device unless you explicitly choose to export it. Any analytics data that may be shared with third-party services is anonymized and aggregated.
